Frequently Asked Questions
What happens on the free discovery call?
The Discovery Call is a complimentary 15-minute conversation designed to understand your primary health concerns, learn what you’ve already tried, and explore what you’re hoping to achieve. Together, we’ll determine whether your needs align with my services and whether we’re the right fit to work together before you make any commitment. There is no sales pressure, no obligation, and no expectation to move forward—just an opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity, and decide whether this is the right next step for you.
What is the Meet the Dietitian session and is it different from the discovery call?
The Meet the Dietitian Session is a complimentary 20–30 minute, in-clinic consultation for individuals who are seriously considering working together. During this visit, we’ll discuss your health goals in greater detail, review your health history and any available medical records or laboratory results at a high level, explain my personalized Functional Medicine nutrition approach, and walk through the program structure, pricing, and next steps. The goal is to answer your questions and provide complete clarity so you can make an informed decision before enrolling.
Do I need a referral from my doctor to work with you?
No referral is required to schedule a Discovery Call, consulting, or Initial Functional Nutrition Assessment. However, I frequently collaborate with my clients’ physicians and other healthcare providers, particularly when laboratory findings, medications, or complex medical conditions are part of their care. This collaborative approach helps ensure your nutrition plan is well coordinated with your overall healthcare.
How is this different from seeing a standard dietitian?
A Registered Dietitian provides evidence-based nutrition care tailored to your health needs. As a Functional Medicine Dietitian, I build on that foundation by taking a systems-based approach that considers how nutrition, digestive health, metabolism, hormones, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and other contributing factors work together to influence your health. The goal is to understand the whole person—not just individual symptoms—and develop a highly personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan designed around your unique needs.
How long does the full program take?
Many clients begin to notice meaningful improvements within the first few weeks, while more significant changes often develop over several months of consistent, personalized care. Every person’s journey is unique, and progress depends on individual health needs, goals, and starting point. Our focus is always on building sustainable, long-term health—not pursuing quick fixes.
Is the initial assessment in-person or virtual?
The complimentary Meet the Dietitian Session is held in person at our Greenville, SC office. The Discovery Call is conducted by phone or video. After your initial assessment, follow-up appointments and ongoing care are available either in person or virtually, depending on your preferences, location, and clinical needs.
Structured care. Real results.
